I don't think this is what Darwin had in mind...

To celebrate the bicentennial of Darwin's birth, the Natural History Museum in London is having a massive exhibition on his life and work, and the BBC has been showing a series of programs based around the man and his revolutionary theory of evolution. On this note I thought I'd post these fashion photos along the same theme. Enjoy.

Bits and bobs...

A bizarre version of a chest of drawers. I've noticed lately that a lot of things, jewelery, clothes and furniture are made from old things that have been reworked. For example Urban Outfitters has a section dedicated to old pieces of clothing that have been remade, lots of jewelery I've seen lately have been made from old watches or other discarded ephemera. And finally a lot of furniture, especially sets of drawers are made from already existing drawers that are put together to make something new. Although usually not quite as crazily as this one. What do you think, are people being lazy, or finding innovative ways to be echo-friendly.

Photography never lies?...

I recently found a really old book on something called table-top photography. Basically you have a table which is made up of several layers of glass, which you then create little scenes on, and then photograph. Some of the examples were surprisingly convincing. I stumbled on these images on the internet and I'm convinced that they were done in the same way. What do you think?

Are you sleeping?...

Eerily still photographs. Do you think they're supposed to look dead? Even though they're kinda creepy I think the photos themselves are strangely beautiful.
