The photographs of Jerry Uelsmann have fascinated me for a few years, not only because they are beautiful and mysterious. But because they are created using traditional darkroom methods of manipulation. These days anyone with an intermediate knowledge of Photoshop would be able to achieve similar effects in their photographs, but to be able to do it to this level of perfection in the darkroom is a rare skill.
