My flatmate and I went to the park the other day to shoot some photos for her blog BamBam Chic, here are some of the results. I was inspired by the blog The Cherry Blossom Girl, and the magazine Lula. Enjoy.
These images are from a project I'm working on using old 'found' negatives. I bought a set of 5 negatives about a month ago from Spitalfields market in London. The project has been on-going and has changed a lot since it started. I posted some photographs before, where I had painted on the developer, these are from the same project. I've shifted the project quite a bit since then, as I could see that the project wasn't really going anywhere. Here I have crumpled the photo paper before I exposed the negatives, to distort the image and to have a similar hide/reveal as the painted on developer. I then photographed the paper crumpled up in the studio, to show the photograph as an object. Enjoy.
Here are some photos I took for my friends blog Bam Bam Chic. We went to the park as it was a lovely sunny autumn day. You can check out the rest of the pics on her blog. Enjoy.
Need to know what to buy the fashionista who has everything? Fashion finger puppets of course! Liberty in London is selling these amazing knitted finger puppets modeled on famous fashion icons from across the world. So now you can walk around with Karl, Donatella and Vivienne keeping your fingers warm during those cold winter days. Enjoy
I love these images by the photographer Chadwick Tyler. I love the muted tones, and how the the model's skin tone matches the background, so they blend together. Enjoy.
I was listening to The Postal Service song, 'We Will Become Silhouettes ' yesterday, and then I found this beautiful illustration I saved on my computer, I can't remember where it came from unfortunately. Enjoy.
I love this room, I think it has a lot to do with the roaring fire. I have a nice fireplace in my bedroom but I can't use it. I also really love the bedding, especially the layering of textures. Enjoy.
Here are some photos from a project I'm working on. I mentioned it in an earlier post that I though shared some similarities. These uploads haven't come out as well as I wanted, the prints are quite big so I couldn't scan them. But you can get the general idea. Enjoy.
I found this great image of the model Lara Stone the other day. She seems to be the the model of the moment, she was on the cover of Vogue this month, and her signature no-eyebrows look was seen in the Givenchy ad campaign, and in several catwalk shows models were walking down the runway sans eyebrows. Will you be inspired by her look to shave off your eyebrows? I know I won't. Enjoy.
I watched the hilarious fashion industry parody 'Zoolander' last night. In one scene the fashion designer Mugatu designs a 'homeless chic' collection called Derelicte. Then today I found these images from W magazine, where models are presented like they're homeless. But in true fashion fantasy style instead of being wrapped in bin liners and dirty old clothes, they're draped in designer clothes and designer shopping bags. I love how such a ridiculous idea from Zoolander has made its way into reality. Enjoy.
More images from W magazine's Art Issue. So what do they do? They pose models next to art, its a kind of obvious solution but I like the result. Enjoy.
