Boombox and cigarettes...

Funny photograph from Pishpot livejournal. I love the narrow color palette, and her crazy dinosaur outfit. Enjoy.

Big and small...

Beautiful photograph juxtaposing a huge poster of a young man with a small old man walking by. Funny and beautiful. Enjoy.

Haunting...

In honor of Friday 13th yesterday I thought I'd post a hauntingly creepy photo. At least I find it to be. Enjoy.

Presenting...

Absolutely stunning photographs from The New York Times magazine feature Great Performers, shot by Magnum photographer Paolo Pellegrin. Follow the link for more wonderful photographs. Enjoy.

More colorful surroundings...

I love rooms like this, where you can see the history of the person who lives there, by the ephemera they've collected through the years. Enjoy.

New York...

Great old images of New York city. I love the slightly faded colors. Enjoy.

Couples...

I thought this was appropriate considering it's Valentine's Day tomorrow. It's a project based around couples. I think how they've been photographed is quite amusing . Enjoy

Ahh beautiful polaroids...

I will really miss Polaroids when they've all run out. I stumbled on these architecturally focused Polaroid works whilst doing research for a project. Unfortunately I didn't write down the artist's name. Enjoy.

Beautiful but kinda creepy...

Beautifully drawn illustrations that I find a little creepy, I don't know why. They also remind me of Paula Rego's work. Enjoy.

Secret door...

Another beautiful bookcase, but this time it's also a door. Where do you think they got the inspiration to do this. From old country house libraries with secret doors disguised within the bookcases, or from the infamous secret door leading to the hiding place of Anne Frank.

Face covered in...

Bizarre but interesting photographs. They look like they would have been quite uncomfortable to pose but, but don't they look great. Enjoy.

Not Madonna and Child...

Beautiful image I found on Time magazine's website, showing the top 10 photographs of 2008, this came tenth! Unbelievably its a reportage photograph from Afghanistan. If it hadn't said that underneath I would be convinced it was a set up shot meant to recreate the early Renaissance paintings of Madonna and Child. What do you think, has it been set up at all?
Even if it has, it's still a beautiful image. Enjoy.

Beautiful light...

Beautiful photograph from Phishpot livejournal. Lovely quality of light. Enjoy.

In contrast...

In complete contrast to the last post, photographs that show interiors with extreme amounts of clutter, even by my standards. Interesting photographs though. Enjoy.

More white...

More uncluttered white interiors. If I lived there I don't think it would stay that tidy for long. Oh well. Enjoy.

Hints of Mad Men...

There's something about these that strongly remind me of the T.V. series Mad Men. I think its the blatant excess, and the lack of political correctness. Even if you disagree with them, they are beautiful images.

Groups...

I'm not sure why exactly but I really like these group photos from Another Magazine SS08. I think its the vibrancy of the colors set against the white background, and the distant gazes from the models. Enjoy.

Two new additions...

I've uploaded these two new photos onto my Flickr page, if you haven't checked it out you should, it has quite a range of images. I really like the lighting in these photos. Enjoy.

People and their dogs...

The quirkiness of these photographs reminds of the photographer Alec Soth, and one series in particular where he traveled down the Mississippi photographing local people. Look him up, its quite entertaining.

Clear spaces...

This makes me want to tidy my room. I think these are rather beautiful photographs, very still and peaceful. Enjoy.

It's a small world...

To me this looks like one house has survived a nuclear explosion, and is so precious that it's now being kept in a glass case. What do you think?
Strange and beautiful.

Time to sleep... and levitate?

Strangely peaceful photographs. Don't you wonder how they came upon the idea to do this?
Enjoy.

Chapel living...

An amazing house inside a converted chapel. You often see conversions as houses these days, but they are rarely done right. So often people just shove a small terrace house into a formally beautiful open space. They end up ruining the character of the building, covering all the walls in plasterboard and dividing the space into tiny, dark rooms. So why not just move into a terrace if your going to do that? Here however, they have managed (on the whole) to sustain the integrity of the building whilst creating a comfortable and trendy living space. Well done.

The theatrics of fashion...

Amazing fashion spread from Vogue, featuring a Romeo and Juliet themed love story. I absolutely love how each photograph looks like a classical painting. Beautiful.
