Velazquez reimagined...
This beautiful photograph, to me, looks like a modern retelling of the famous Velazquez painting of Venus reclining in front of mirror that Cupid is holding. The lighting and the way the sheets are arranged just shouts classical painting to me. Beautiful, enjoy.

Graphically speaking...
Beautiful, graphic image, I love the silhouette of the tumbling hair, next to the line of the single thread. Enjoy.

Loretta Lux...
Beautiful photographs, which cross the mediums of painting and photography. Loretta Lux photographs her friends children in vintage clothes, using a pastel color palette, along with painted backgrounds to create an imaginary environment with a strong visual identity. I've loved her work for years, ever since along with my grandmother, I saw an exhibition in the San Fransisco Moma which included some of her work. They are even more visually impacting in person. Enjoy.
Born famous...
Photographs of now famous actors and actresses when they where young, with their famous parents. From the top, The Curtis family with a very young Jamie Lee Curtis, Kirk Douglas and young Michael Douglas, and Debbie Reynolds with daughter Carrie Fisher. With our celebrity obsessed culture I feel these images are quite powerful, having these innocent children being born into fame without a choice.

From the set...
Photographs that were taken on the set of The Godfather. The middle one for me, really exudes the feeling of the movie. Enjoy
