I love book cover designs, and recently I discovered a blog, called The Book Design Review where I saw some great examples of creative book covers. Enjoy.
Lovely cut out book covers from book artist Thomas Allen. I love how playful they are. I think he also contributed to a window display at Selfridges department store in London a few months ago. Enjoy.
This interesting book work comes from artist Noriko Ambe. It looks quite bizarre, but I like it, the cut outs in the pages totally transform the image of the person. Enjoy
Aren't these so lovely they're like something from Alice in Wonderland. They are from Jessie Chorley & Buddug and the collection, called Once Upon a Time consists mainly of quirky jewelry and altered books. Beautiful.
Gorgeous illustrations on old pieces of book paper. I love the look of old paper like this, it adds a delicate feel to what you put on it. I often use old book pages in my bookart work. See more work like this at sweet as a loon bird.
These lovely illustrations are inside the classic Moleskin journals, don't you wish you made that much effort with your Moleskin. See more beautiful pages at the artist, Juan Rayos' Flickr page.
I found this whilst doing research on the internet and thought it was incredible. She's cut up a lot of other books in similar ways, here's a link showing her other work: Georgia Russel Enjoy.
