Film Grain...

I took some photos of my house-mate the other day for a project, and I got the film put onto cd at Snappy Snaps. When I uploaded them I noticed how visible the film grain was. Usually I wouldn't like that but I think it looks quite nice here. Enjoy.

Film stills...

Amazing stills from the movie The Elephant Man. I stumbled on some film stills on the internet, these are the first group, each set is very different, but they all really make you realize how some films are a series of beautifully constructed photographs.

The Graduate...

Beautiful photographs from the set of the iconic movie The Graduate. I think these images really capture the feel of the movie, whilst being beautiful in themselves.

Born famous...

Photographs of now famous actors and actresses when they where young, with their famous parents. From the top, The Curtis family with a very young Jamie Lee Curtis, Kirk Douglas and young Michael Douglas, and Debbie Reynolds with daughter Carrie Fisher. With our celebrity obsessed culture I feel these images are quite powerful, having these innocent children being born into fame without a choice.

Inspiration...

I saw the amazing movie Milk starring Sean Penn last night. Talk about inspiration, what an amazing film, and what an amazing man. I feel this movie is especially important right now because of Proposition 8 in California, trying to ban gay marriage, not only would it mean gay marriages were no longer legal but it would also mean forcibly divorcing 18,000 same sex marriages that took place before the passage of Prop 8. Perez, the celebrity gossip blogger posted this video, it's so touching, it made me cry. If your an American and you don't want hatred to be legislated sign this petiton. Thanks.
